The Carolina Opry Christmas Special

The Great Christmas Light Show

NMB Park and Sports Complex - 150 Citizens Circle, Little River, SC

The Great Christmas Light Show is a park-wide lighted celebration that is sure to capture the true spirit of the season! The drive through light show will feature over 2 million lights festively displayed along a 1.5 mile drive throughout the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. Over 500 magical light displays, some up to 55 feet tall, have been custom made for The Great Christmas Light Show. Visitors will experience 20 enchanting animated figures and holiday scenes where the lights will come to life.

After the drive through the light show, visit Santa’s Village and enjoy hot chocolate and s’mores, get an up close look at the lights on the Santa Express Train Ride, go through the Chris-maze and, of course, meet Santa! Santa’s Village is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday only from November 29-December 15. Opens nightly December 19-30.

Holidays On The Boardwalk

Plyler Park - 1309 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC
Saturdays 12:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Beginning Saturday, November 30th and then each Saturday in December The Oceanfront Merchants will be hosting Night Lights... Holidays On The Boardwalk from Noon until 8 pm. Of course, Santa will be on hand (last day for Santa is December 21st) to listen to all the Christmas wishes and you are welcome to take as many pictures as you like. We will have a holiday train and the cost to ride is $3 per person. There will be a live Holiday Music production on stage with lots of audience participation each Saturday along with Letters to Santa, strolling carolers, Christmas craft, hot cocoa and cookies, glitter tattoos, costumed characters, caricature artist, and a Secret Santa Shopping area for the children. There is a $5 cost (per trip) to the shopping area and each child will be able to purchase two gifts per visit. The gifts will be wrapped and placed in a holiday bag for the children to take home and surprise someone on Christmas morning!

The 2019 holiday season lights up with the 24th Annual Spirit of Calabash Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting. Located in downtown Calabash at Callahan’s of Calabash, the Spirit of Calabash Parade strolls down Beach Drive to River Road and is full of colorful and entertaining groups. Santa will be transported to the event by the 24th Annual Calabash Christmas Tree Lighting and Parade by the Calabash Fire Department. The main tree lighting event begins immediately after the parade on the main stage.

Santa on the Beach

A Very Broadway Christmas

Broadway at the Beach will host the fifth annual “A Very Broadway Christmas” on Saturday, December 7. This holiday event will feature a parade, children’s activities, and fireworks.

  • 11 a.m. - The Parade and will start the celebration. The parade route will begin on the 29th Avenue North side of Broadway at the Beach and will follow the fire lane around the property, ending near WonderWorks.
  • 12 - 6 p.m. - The Holiday House, located in the Heroes Harbor area of Broadway, is opened daily through December 24. Guests can take their own photos. Each Sunday, through December 22, Santa will be visiting with children from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • 1 - 4 p.m. - Enjoy free children’s activities in the Heroes Harbor area near Margaritaville. Activities include face painting, character appearances, holiday stilt walking balloon artists, train rides, spin wheel of prizes, mail for the military and more. In addition, children can visit with Santa at the all new Holiday House.
