MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (March 26, 2019) — Del Webb is introducing low maintenance villas to its Grande Dunes Myrtle Beach community, with floorplans designed for on-the-go baby boomers who want to live larger in a smaller home.

Thoughtfully laid out with rich appointments and low in maintenance, each one-story villa includes a two-car garage and shares a single wall with its neighbor, making all homes end units flush with natural light. The enclave of villa homes sits close to The Clubhouse amenity center, the heart of the 55-plus community with fitness and lifestyle activities from morning to night.

Two models, the Cressida and Serenity, are being offered, with a Grand Opening planned for May. Similar in size at 1,540-plus square feet, they begin in the high $200’s with two or three bedrooms and two baths. Each features an open layout and private lanai with optional patio designed for grilling and gathering inside and out.

“We’ve had a lot of interest from buyers who are ready to downsize and simplify their life in retirement to free up time for social and leisure activities,” said Jaymie Dimbath, vice president of sales and marketing for Pulte Homes, owner of Del Webb. “Villas have been very popular in our other Del Webb communities across the country and we expect the same kind of success here in Myrtle Beach.”

The 15,000 square-foot Clubhouse fronts the Intracoastal, with indoor and outdoor pools and fitness rooms, in addition to tennis, bocce and pickleball courts. A fulltime lifestyle director plans events, trips, classes and seminars to keep residents busy and entertained.

Del Webb at Grande Dunes Myrtle Beach has been open under a year and more than 100 homes already have been sold. Seven additional home designs are offered, with two-to-five bedrooms and two-to-four baths, ranging in size from 1,600 square feet to over 2,500 square feet.

Residents also have use of the world-class Grande Dunes’ Ocean Club, with beach access, as well as existing amenities and miles of walking trails. They may also choose to use the state-of-the-art tennis club, two golf courses and the marina, all located within Grande Dunes.

The Del Webb Welcome Center and four professionally decorated model homes are available for touring at 1150 62nd Avenue North in Myrtle Beach.
